I'm currently doing the webcam controlled rover project from the kit. However I ran into the problem of my two micro geared dc motors w/ encoders don't move despite the led being from the ports m1 and m2 lighting up. In lesson 5.0, where the simulink file was introduced to test individual parts, everything worked besides the motors, the wiring is right, and the led changes when dragging the button in simulink. Is this a battery problem, since im only getting about 3.4 V? Or am I doing something wrong.
Are you measuring at the battery? What is the battery voltage with no connections? What type of battery?
its a lithium ion battery and before i plugged in the battery, the voltage read about 4.2 V ish
And now it reads 3.4? Why not charge the battery and see if that helps?
does the reason the servo motor work but not the dc motor because of a low energy battery?
These kits change over supplier and time. Post the specifics of the devices, a diagram, and the code you are using.
