Have you tried petrol/gasoline/diesel?
Oil?
Internal combustion, external combustion, rotary, Wankel?
Is the battery flat?
I think we may need just a little more information before we can offer much real help.
Or putting it another way...what on earth are you talking about?

Oh is that the definition of the the difference? I did not know that. But there are so many common expressions where "motor" is used meaning ICE. "Get you motor running" etc.
You all forgot... Steam! But, on the other hand, no-one says "steam motor".
EDIT: Ardly did mention external combustion engines.
ANOTHER EDIT: maybe motor is a superclass of engine. Or maybe motor is a component of an engine.

It could be a jet engine. Hero's steam engine (an aeolipile, or aeolipyle or eolopile) was the first jet engine.
