error: attempt to use poisoned "SIG_USART0_RECV"

I recently started using Gentoo GNU/Linux as my choice of distro and I installed the arduino ide when trying to compile a program I can compile it for the arduino uno but not the arduino mega. Does anybody know a fix for this?
