Error compiling

Hello Everyone!

I bought a new Arduino few days ago.
some projects are going wery well, but if I try to connect a 7 segment display, or an infrared reciever, the program says:

"Arduino: 1.6.9 (Windows 10), Alaplap:"Arduino/Genuino Uno"

F:\Arduino\libraries\RobotIRremote\src\IRremoteTools.cpp:5:16: error: 'TKD2' was not declared in this scope

int RECV_PIN = TKD2; // the pin the IR receiver is connected to

exit status 1
Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno."

I don't know what should i do. Please somebody help me!

Did you look at any of the other threads describing exactly the same symptoms?

You're using the wrong version of the IRReceiver library, that's pulling in the version from the arduino robot which defined TKD2 and I think it had a receiver on that pin.

I don't recall what the fix is, but it's a common issue people run into. I'll bet you could find a fix by googling the distinctive parts of the error, or even searching these forums.

When i try to do stopwatch, it says:

"G:\Lesson14 Stopwatch\code\stopwatch\stopwatch.ino:8:22: fatal error: TimerOne.h: No such file or directory

#include <TimerOne.h>

compilation terminated.

exit status 1
Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno."

When i try infra reciever it says, what i wrote above.

I think i nedd to do something whit my inventories, but i don’t know what… :frowning:
I’m such a noob.

Have you downloaded the TimerOne library and installed it? Where?

A lot of thanks to all of you guys! I added all of the libraries you recommended and now everything is working!
