Hi,

I'm new to Arduino and I was wondering if anyone could help.
I downloaded the Arduino IDE and extracted it.When I start arduino.exe, it shows the splash screen and then comes up with the error
"Error: Could not read color theme settings. You'll need to reinstall processing."
I have downloaded processing from processing.org, but it is not a program that you can install.It is simply a .exe file.
This happens every time I try to start the IDE.
Any help would be great.

What operating system? Where did you install the IDE? Which version was it?

Hi,

My OS is Win Vista Home Premium SP2. I extracted the IDE into a folder on the Desktop, and manually copied the folders that Windows doesn't extract.(libraries ect.)The version of the IDE is the latest one I think (it was the most recent download).

You lost me there. What folders? Why doesn't Windows extract them?
