i've got the title problem guys that i mention in the subject
it's 4:40 i the morning and i'm still working here to solve this problem step by step
error: Failed to open COM5
i used the example code of arduino ide-i'm working on ESP8266.201 things good
but there's one problem at uploding time
and
that,will be this error !
I have had two times where I could not load to an ESP8266 and once with an ESP32
all were solved by slowing the upload speed
tools / upload speed
115200 seems to work well.
cannot say that is what you have, but each problem I had showed different error messages.
"Failed to open COM5" has to do with the PL2303 USB<>Serial device you're using.
Nothing to do with the ESP8266.
Did you install the drivers for that device?
