This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Is the correct port selected? I didn't think macs named them usbmodem....

Is anything connected to pins 0, 1 or reset? Those pins are used for uploading.

Have you swapped the chip on the board with a replacement for some reason?
