Error Simple Motor DC project

Using Arduino Motors, Mechanics, Power and CNC

I'm trying to follow this simple project but i can't go on. I tryed to make the circuit like this : An Experiment | Arduino Lesson 15. DC Motor Reversing | Adafruit Learning System
but my motor doesn't work.

That is a very bad tutorial, because it suggests that you can power a DC motor from the Arduino.

In 99 cases out of 100, either it won't work or it will damage the Arduino or other serious problems will arise. The Adafruit people should know better, but then their goal is to sell you stuff.

Always use a separate power supply for motors, and be sure to connect the Arduino and motor power supply grounds together.

What motor are you using?

Never power motors from the Arduino 5V rail, its likely to fail to work and even destroy the board. Separate
your motor and logic supplies.
