I'm facing a frustrating issue while attempting to upload a sketch to the Arduino Web Editor. I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot and find a solution.

Error Message: "Sketch upload failed. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Description: I've been using the Arduino Web Editor successfully until now. However, when I tried to upload a sketch today, I received the above error message. My internet connection is stable, and I haven't made any recent changes to my setup.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Checked Internet Connection: Verified that my internet connection is working fine by accessing other websites and streaming videos without any issues.
  2. Cleared Browser Cache: Cleared the cache and cookies of my web browser to eliminate conflicts or outdated data.
  3. Restarted Computer: Rebooted my computer to resolve any temporary glitches.
  4. Tried Different Browser: Attempted to upload the sketch using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox), but the error persisted.
  5. Disabled Firewall and Antivirus: Temporarily disabled firewall and antivirus software as a precaution, but the error persisted.

Hi @edwardblair. Please provide a detailed description of the procedure you are using to "upload a sketch to the Arduino Web Editor". Typically in the Arduino world when we use the term "upload" we are talking about transferring a sketch program to an Arduino board (e.g., an UNO). But the "to Arduino Web Editor" part of your description makes me think you might mean something else by "upload".

The version number 2.1.0 makes it seem like maybe you are referring to Arduino IDE instead of Arduino Web Editor because 2.1.0 is the version of the latest release of Arduino IDE.
