What have you done with Java on your system? Which OS are you using?

i am using windows 7, it did work before after i installed windows again, but now it shows the same error again?

Maybe it is the java??? or ??

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Arduino IDE?

If you open a terminal and type java -version what response do you get?

Do you know the directory in which the Ardunio program is located?

Try to remove or rename preferences.txt file, the new one will be created with new IDE start.
