Prompted to update firmware when compiling sketch - sketch compiles and loads OK.
Tried uploading firmware from IDE. Connects OK, lights on board go blink and after about 6 seconds connection to board is lost and get firmware update failed message in IDE.
Searched web and found multiple "fixes" none of which worked.
Arduino Uno rev 4 WIFI - sketches upload and run, just unable to update firmware.
Any suggestions?
the official description worked for me:
The "restore" will bring the latest firmware on the ESP32. When doing the restore, close the Arduino IDE.
On long term I suggest you simply get an ESP32 only board. It will make your next projects far easier.
I follow instructions in Restore the USB connectivity firmware on UNO R4 WIFI with espflash through step 7 and nothing happens - no ports shown etc.
Any suggestions?
