So I've tried to get my ESP8266 to work properly but it just will not work. My issue is that when I try and upload my sketch to my Arduino UNO which is connected to ESP8266 I get this error message:
Arduino: 1.8.5 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

An error occurred while uploading the sketch
I am using Blynk and its generated example code, I will post the actual code itself further down.
Now I did some googling and found out that one of the reasons for this error message can be that pin 0 is being in use so I tried to disconnect the RX and TX pins and then I could succesfully upload the code to the Arduino. When I pull up the serial monitor I can see the Blynk logo but then it obviously just says "ESP is not responding". Then when I tried connecting the RX and TX pins again and reset the board nothing showed up in the serial monitor.
So my question is if anyone knows how to fix this?

Blynk is a platform with iOS and Android apps to control
Arduino, Raspberry Pi and the likes over the Internet.
You can easily build graphic interfaces for all your
projects by simply dragging and dropping widgets.

It's very tricky to get it working. Please read this article:

This example shows how value can be pushed from Arduino to
the Blynk App.
