Error when installing ESP32 in Arduino ide

I am using Windows 10 and receive the following error when trying to install the esp32 environment
with the arduino ide;

error downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/gh-package_esp32_index.json

The odd thing is that I am able to install it on my Mac!
