How is the ESP connected? I don't understand what you are trying to do. If you are trying to program the ESP it must be connected to the PC with a USB to TTL converter (not the Uno). If you are trying to program the Uno, you have the wrong board selected (in Tools).

rx --------- pin3

Do you have a level shifter between Uno TX and ESP RX?

^ Pretty much everything I would have said/asked! LOL

  • If you want to program the ESP.. you need to connect it directly to the PC via USB > TTL (FTDI) type programmer.

Do you have it set to 'programming' mode?

What Arduino board are you trying to use?
