If you were using a modern version of the Arduino IDE (1.8.3 is 4.5 years out of date) then the IDE would have even automatically installed this library dependency for you when you installed the "Adafruit ADS1X15" library via Library Manager.
OMG you made my life easier! as i'm a newbie to this i didn't know there is a more up to date version, just upgraded to IDE 2.0 and everything is just fine!
Be aware that IDE2.0 is still in test (rc3); in general it's good enough to work with but it has still some annoyances. The latest 'normal' release is 1.8.19.
Your topic has been moved to a more suitable location on the forum. Installation and Troubleshooting is not for problems with (nor for advise on) your project See About the IDE 1.x category.
I second what sterretje said. 2.0.0-rc3 is more intended to offer the community the opportunity to test and provide feedback to Arduino before the actual 2.0.0 release is made. So if you chose to use it, be aware that there are some known serious bugs which 1.8.19 doesn't have. There are surely some unknown bugs too, so be sure to report any problems or suggestions you have in the dedicated forum category:
