Errors with bytes on sketch

I'm trying to code Petoi the dog bittle however I've had several errors. I do have some experience with coding as I'm in school for it, but this is a whole new beast that I have pretty much 0 knowledge on. I followed everything in the video but, noticed I'm getting this error. All I did was extract the zip I got from github and go to upload the sketch. Is there anyway to fix this?

Sketch uses 30312 bytes (93%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 1700 bytes (83%) of dynamic memory, leaving 348 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

That's not an error, that's the results of a successful compile.

Once again, I pretty much have 0 knowledge of this as I explained in the beginning of the forum. I understand it’s not technically an error but it simply can’t complete the compile because of how much is being used, the program shuts down and I receive errors, it never successfully compiles. So, if you actually know something about this then please comment, otherwise there’s not much point in stating “that’s not an error, that’s successful compile”. In fact, you just made an assumption statement and I’m somewhat confused why even comment that? It really did absolutely nothing. If you have some insight or have actual questions to help navigate me to where I need to be, then please reply, if you don’t have something I can follow up with please don’t reply.

I agree with @camsysca that there is no error therefore we have no idea what your problem is. So if you want help with an issue, we need to know what the issue is.

Please read the how to get the most from the forum post. The post contains information on what we need to know in order to help you.

We are volunteers here and are doing this for free on our own time. Your attitude is not going to make you friends. @camsysca is trying to help you and does not deserve a rebuke, you should be thankful that he took the time to respond.

Again, that's a successful compile message. Your problem would appear to be that the code fails to execute due to runtime programming errors - beyond the ability of a compiler to ascertain. Perhaps you're actually getting one or more execution-time error messages that would be useful to post, then? You do need to at least post the code, or a proper link to it, in order to receive help with it - even given your updated information. Knowing which Arduino product you're running it on might also be a huge help.

When you became a member of the forum yesterday, you would have been provided with the opportunity to learn how best to survive-and-thrive here. Perhaps a review of that information is in order? Forgive me, but for a new poster, you're seemingly significantly over-endowed with entitlement attitude, as well as an expectation that we all have crystal balls. Park those somewhere, they won't help you.

However, others will need to help you now. I have limited time, and choose to spend it on posters that understand TANSTAAFL. Good luck with your education in that regard.

There was no help that you ever tried to begin with, tbh i didnt waste my time to read your full message because you got way too invested and I only came here for answers, not someone getting butthurt. I just stated facts, if you both are just over explaining feelings then I think thats a you problem. You never tried to help out in the beginning, so what you said literally made no sense. That’s simply a fact, don’t comment things if you can’t handle the facts of the situation. I ask a question, unless you have an answer, why comment? Pretty logical. Again, don’t let feelings get in the way. Not even sure why you responded after I said unless you have an answer don’t respond. Cheers!

Still don't get it, do you? Can't help without accurate information. Simple as that!

Again, thats a you decision. If you don’t want to actually help people dont. Simple as that, but his attitude to my question starting out obviously put me off wrong. I just don’t see why I come on here to ask a question, Im not here to make friends. Most of you volunteers are ruthless to people that have a simple question and always try to act above. Which is exactly why I handled it with the same treatment back. Again none of us are here to make friends, were here to get answers. Which an answer was not provided. Also; again the definition of volunteering is a you decision, I don’t need to thank anybody for that. Grow up a bit. Cheers!

@soundsgood,

2 more flags to the moderators for completely reasonable replies. I have given you 2 days rest from the forum, please take the time to read the forum guide and remember the help you get is from volunteers working in their spare time for free.

Here is the forum guide:

Thank you.

"I'm going to leave you all to do your own searches to find out what that is. My time is too precious to help you to help me."

"But I'm not going to tell you what they were. See my earlier comment on the value of my time."

"But I'm not going to tell you how much, or in which languages"

"But I'm not going to tell you which video"

Did I translate that correctly?

sp. "we're".
You can have that answer for free
