ESP-01 not executing the uploaded code

Hello to everyone,

Hope you are all safe :slight_smile:
Soo... a while ago I bought an ESP-01 in order to add Wifi to my arduino projects. But after many hours of constantly trying to make it work I still haven't managed.

First of all, I had a lot of problems uploading the code, trying the many(too many) approaches on how to connect it, finally managed to upload the code. The leds on the board were blinking as they normally should on upload but after the upload is complete nothing happens at all. Tried the Blink example for the built-in led but it seems as if the board is defective because the led isn't blinkig. Furthermore, any other code I uploaded did the same thing- nothing.

I started thinking about the board itself, tried only connecting to 3.3V but the red led was sometimes on, sometimes not.

Then I saw on the internet some pictures of the board and those pads made me think mine had those pads soldered wrong.

After desoldering mine pads I found out that it was actually only one pad, so there wasn't a mistake and I ran out of ideas...

I think it is defective but thought I could ask for help and advice :slight_smile:
