ESP-01 WiFi Module

I ordered the ESP8266 ESP-01 Serial WiFi Wireless Transceiver. I was having issues communicating with it via IDE. I would receive the output "Ready" but I was not able to use the AT commands. I started to lose hope but then I was able to communicate via Hyperterm. When typing the commands, type AT and then hit enter. After you press enter nothing happens so then press ctrl+j. The AT commands will now work.
