ESP-12E USB/BOOT issue

OK, I will try and keep this short an to the point.

I have a number of ESP-12E's ( DEV KIT AZ-DELIVERY ) 1 has been programmed before ( A ) , so has a boot loader on it. The others I am not sure about. (B)

They both have the CH340C USB bridge chip on them.

(A) is seen by Windows BEEP/BOP

(B) Is never seen by windows, no BEEP/BOP.

I am wondering if (B) Does not have a bootloader on it, then Windows will never see it.

Is this correct, if not, does anyone have any smart ideas about how to go about doing it.

Cheers.

If your board has the CH340, the bootloader is irrelevant for the board recognisition. Windows device manager should show the board as a USB-SERIAL CH340; see COM8 below.

Are you using the same cable? If not, did you try to use the cable that you use for the working one with the non-working one?

If that does not solve the issue, I do not know what to advise.

I've moved your topic to the section dedicated to this type of problems (although it might not be immediately clear that it is more suitable).
