ESP 8266 nodemcu wifi drops over high current motor driver

Hey folks

I barely come up online to ask a question but this is an ongoing issue for like 2 month now and i tried everything i could for this matter. see if you guys can help me with this.

here is the situation :

the ESP 8266 is connected to wifi and serial console works perfect on reporting and logging...
there is a 12 Volt motor connected to a motor driver ( l298n ) and a couple of micro switches inside the project ...
the goal is to lift up and down the cabinet door using the gear motor but since the motor is slow over 12 volt i boosted it up to 15 volt to increase the speed a little bit more.

for that i am aware of removing the jumper on the motor driver and sharing the "N" with arduino...
there are 2 different ways to open and close the cabinet door :

  1. using the switches as Manuel open and close ...
  2. using the app on the phone with Blynk software...

i put some serial.print commands to track the code and when the motor is not connected to motor driver it works great over app and manuel switches... but when i connect the motor to drive ports on the motor driver and when its lifting up the door ,over high current, the wifi stops reponding, the app says arduino is offline and i see bunch of " l飧甽$l#飧府c飧府飧畂飧畖飧府"飧府r飧畂nN飧府]'" over serial console...

it will not reconnect unless i disconnect all the power supplies from the outlet and wait a couple of sec and then reconnect them !!

i know its so confusing and it might be too much and i do understand if you guys simply ignore this question.but i appreciate if you help me out of this.

thank you

Duplicate posts waste the time of the people helping you. Someone might spend 15 minutes writing a detailed answer on this thread, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other thread. This behavior is not very respectful to the people you're asking for assistance. Just because they give their time freely doesn't mean it has no value.

In the future, take some time to pick the forum section that best suits the topic of your question and then only post once to that forum section. This is basic forum etiquette, as explained in the sticky "How to use this forum - please read." post you will find at the top of every forum section. It contains a lot of other useful information. Please read it.

Other thread removed.

my guess is that something is drawing so much current that it is leaving the ESP8266 with insufficient power to run....

when motor is not physically connected, do you carry out the commands to use the motor - and it works fine?

You may need to show what and how everything is connected.
