ESP and IR wiring question

I've wiring up a IR transmitter to a ESP32 with this diagram. Nothing.
I've even used a wiring that put a 50-ohm resister between the +side and the +side of the IR with a 330ohm between the ESP32 (pin 4) and the center pin of the transister (PN2222).

Still nothing. Swapped the IR transmitter thinking I fried it. Same results.

(I have a Mega with a IR receiver running that tells me of the codes when it sends. I don't think it is the code because it was working at one point for about an hour. Then nothing.)
