Hi,
I have finally managed to build a cheap version of the Arduino WiFi shield using an ESP-01 module which is the simplest and cheapest version of the ESP8266 modules.
You can find the instructions to build the EspWiFi shield here.
I have also developed the WiFiEsp library to use the shield with the same APIs of the standard Arduino WiFi shield.

Hello there is many topics on the esp8266 in the Arduino Forum.

I don't understand your point.
This topic is strictly related to the ESP WiFi Shield. In the other threads they are using other libraries and wiring schemes.
