Hello,
Kind of a newbie here, is it possible to use a different serial pin to upload sketches to ESP32-CAM? I may have accidentally fried my GPIO 3 pin which is used for serial connection as U0RXD, by connecting it directly to VCC . Since then I haven't been able to connect to it using the ESP32-CAMprogrammer (my pc doesn't even recognise it). Is there any way to use another pin?
In the future, order these types of board so you can upload via normal USB.

I don't think there is another pin.
thats what i meant by esp32cam programmer, sorry for confusion
ive read that its possible to use alternate serial pin but i am not sure if it is possible when i cant upload code
If you have the 'programmer' (it isn't just that) then you upload via USB, why would you use any pins?
because my pc doesnt recognise the usb device and i cant upload code
If the USB programmer is working your PC should recognize it even when the ESP32CAM is not connected.
I moved your topic to a more appropriate forum category @iwouldnot .
The Nano ESP32 category you chose is only used for discussions directly related to the Arduino Nano ESP32 board.
In the future, please take the time to pick the forum category that best suits the subject of your question. There is an "About the _____ category" topic at the top of each category that explains its purpose.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
That is what you need to fix. It is normally caused by users diddling with device manager, OR you have the wrong driver installed. You can check the driver with a magnifying glass. It is most likely a CH340 but there is another I don't recall. Just note each chip and google it, what you are looking for is a USB to serial chip.
