Hello, I’m currently working on a surveillance car project that uses the esp32 cam, the cam is supposed to stream what it’s seeing on a website. I want the car to be at a storage place for example and for me to be able to access the stream from home without having to be connected to the same wifi network as the cam. When I researched I found that for me to do this I have to setup a vpn server and to use a laptop that will be connected to the same network as the eps cam. Will this work? And if it does Is it safe to do this or is my data at risk?
Has nothing to do with VPN, you need to use a 3rd party service to publish your private IP in a way that ONLY you know what it is so you can connect. You also need to do other steps. Just google the concept of 'how do I make my private IP available on the net'
