Hi Folks,

Complete noob here. I'm trust trying to find this board in IDE but I'm really struggling.

Any advice please?

It has an ESP32-WROOM-32E on it

Please post a link to the board that you are referring to. There is a very good chance that it will work if you set the board to ESP32 Dev Module in the IDE

Yeah I tried that but it doesn't. I'm on a mac running sierra and IDE 1.8 if thats relevant

What happens when you set the board to ESP32 Dev Module and upload a sketch ?

When I plug the board in, the relay repeatedly clicks but no com port shows up to connect to it

So not getting as far as being able to upload!

Hello , the clicking must be the program in it , you could upload your program using TTL it should be
TTL : 5v , RX , TX , GND
ESP : 5v , TX, RX , GND (GND - IO0) short Gnd and IO0
