Hi All,
I have an AQY212GH SSR and I'm working on making sure I'm not over any limits when controlling it.
My ESP32 WROOM32U outputs 3.3v (approx) on PIN14 i'm using, is this voltage too high for the Input LED Voltage Dropout based on the below.
Source: 212EH
Or does dropout voltage relate to something else?
Cheers,
Nic
LEDs are current operated devices. Design your project based on the LEP operating current. Set your series resistor so you don't exceed the 3.0 ma. limit.
ok cool, very interesting.
When I layout the following on a bread board, I am measuring 0.0025a going though PIN14 ( with a 430ohm resistor on it in series).
I've added a LED to visually see when it is being driven.
Cheers,
Why are you not sending the minimum current through the SSR LED? Probably is not even switching on.
Sorry isnt 0.0025a equal to 2.5mA which is between the Led Operate current Typical of 1.2mA to max of 3.0mA?
Yes, you are right. long day!
oh good! I was starting to question my self even more than for a second
thanks for your help, seems to be all working as it should.
A better design would put the indicator LED on the switched circuit, so you know the SSR switched.
