ESP32Cam reconnect to wifi

I am using a ESP32cam and uploaded the code, works great. When I unplug it from the pc, and connect to external power supply it will not connect back to wifi. Plug it back into the pc, works great. Ideas?

Don't connect it to an external power supply

WOW really? Point of the project is portability hence the reason for external power

Well, given the paucity of detail so far, yes, really.

Just looking for some help

Just looking for some details.

(I should point out that, as a new member here, your number of posts will be limited, so I suggest you start coming up with details to enable others to help you)

Perhaps provide the forum with details of the 'external power supply' ?

Just your basic power supply that supply's 5v. Work perfectly on other boards. So the question still remains how to get the wifi to reconnect

The ESP32 does require a fairly high current capable supply, especially when WiFi is used.

Maybe "Just your basic power supply that supply's 5v" is not good enough ?

Thank you very much, great answer. Actually my power supply will power other boards no problem, but not strong enough for this one. Will investigate further

Well, if you had revealed what "my power supply" actually was, the problem might have been resolved a few posts back.

Give a rookie a break, be nice guys. Like I stated it worked great on all other boards

You were dumb and just starting out once your self

Hey, people are on here to help you, but it does get annoying when people ask questions so vague that it feels like they are just taking up forum space, even if that person does that just because they don't have the forum experience yet.

Basically, just make sure to include an accurate description of your circuitry (types of cables, external components, etc). as well as photos if you don't know the more technical aspects of it.

Your power supply is likely just abnormally weak for some reason. In the future, just include photos of the little spec list of your power supply and circuitry which probably help you get a solution early on.

Thanks guys but I posted this question on other sites and they understood the question perfectly the first time. Four guys will run tests on their equipment and let me know the results

Perhaps it might of been an idea to inform forum members you had asked the question elsewhere, so the volounteers on here dont waste their time giving you an answer you had already had.

Well its obvious I will not receive any help here, that's why I posted on other forums. They said Arduino forum is a waist of time, so delete this post

But here, we'll also help with your spelling - "waste".

You're welcome.

ROFL, your to funny

"you're", "too".

Again, you're welcome.
