ESP8266-01S Upload failure from IOT Cloud

Hi
I bought some ESP8266-01S to use with the Arduino IOT Cloud. When I attempt to upload a sketch, I get the error log shown further down.
Device ESP8266-01S, board Generic ESP8266 Module, USB adapter.

Note: I can upload exactly the same sketch to the same ESP8266-01S, Generic ESP8266 Module, via USB adapter on the same comm port (Win 11) using IDE 2.0.3 without problem.

I have been through as many troubleshooting steps on this forum and the internet that I can find without luck. Any ideas please?
