Hello everyone,
I have just started small development on ESP8266 WiFi module, so I got the module and breakout board as well.
Now as per the datasheet I'm trying to power the module with 3.3V but the module did't work. So I started to troubleshoot the issue and found that Voltage at Vcc is dropped to 1.7V-2.2V. Here the sources for the module which I tried :
- Laptop USB connected to a 3.3V regulator
- Arduino 3.3V
- Adaptor which source 5V
in the all the cases the voltages are dropping. Troubleshooting further I found that the module is drawing 50-60mA of current. The only source remaining is a Li-Ion battery and 5V( which is not recommended but the system has safety as mentioned on Pg-17/31 of the datasheet:File Not Found
Looking for suggestion and troubleshooting methods or mistakes I'm doing in the setting up the module.
Regards,
