Esp8266 and Nano

Hello there. We have esp8266 model wifi module, but when we transfer our code to nano, the wifi module does not work. While the same code and module is working on our uno card, what could be the reason why it doesn't work on our nano card? can someone help? thanks in advance

Uhhh...sure...the problem is with planetary alignment of Venus and Mercury.

Only if you provide the necessary information.

Out of curiosity - why connect an ESP8266 to a Nano? In other words: what do you think the Nano can do that the ESP8266 can't do?

Our teacher gave us a homework about esp8266 and I only have nano avaliable right now

Thats the code

The plot thickens...

Sorry, it's not clear to me what you're trying to do. I thought you had a Nano and an ESP8266, and you were trying to use the ESP8266 as a WiFi module to make the Nano connect to a WiFi network...right?

The way you wrote your initial post could also be read as "I wrote code on an ESP8266 and when porting it to the Nano, I didn't get the WiFi to work" which would be obvious, since the Nano doesn't have WiFi.

Anyway, question still stands - what's the Nano doing there anyway? Why not keep things simple and do everything with the ESP8266? Yeah, you don't have one right now. Have you looked how much they cost? They're quite cheap.

Not everyone lives in borgorland. Its expensive.

This is getting sillier. What is "borgorland" and what is expensive?

A WeMOS D1 Mini is hardly expensive. Less than $5 even with the inflated COvid-19 shipping costs. Mind you, it will not arrive for a few weeks.

Then by absolute definition you cannot program an ESP8266 if you do not have an ESP8266. An Arduino Nano does not resemble an ESP8266 in any respect.

Exactly what did the teacher expect you to do? Why did they not provide the ESP8266? Have you actually discussed this with the teacher? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You need to write software for an ESP8266.
You are either unable or unwilling to obtain one.
End of story then, isn't it? Especially since you didn't bother clarifying the situation.
