Hello all,

I wish to control the relay without arduino from my Linux PC via terminal using NetStat. Is it possible?

Yep. These units are geared towards cell phone usage so now I am leaning towards wemos d1 mini. Yet I still wish to control this device via netstat/putty on a scheduled basis via a linux based PC if possible?

From what I can tell, the default firmware in the Wemos d1 mini is AT firmware which means you would be able to communicate with it using Putty which of course means you would need to be near the device.
