ESP8266 send/recv problem

I have 2 programs that almost work. In the slave program i initialize dutycycle to 2000 and then send a struct that contains that variable to the master ESP. After the slave sends a packet to the master it subtracts 5 from the value of dutycycle and sends again and the master prints the result on in the serial.

I am seeing the variable decrease as expected but in my serial console something else is being printed afterwards that i cant figure out. It is even printed after i disconnect the slave node. as soon as the master gets a message from the salve the problem starts.
