Some of the digital pins in my esp8266 are acting high as default. I didn't even program it!

Look at the schematic of the board; e.g. for the Wemos D1 Mini : https://www.wemos.cc/en/latest/_static/files/sch_d1_mini_v3.0.0.pdf
GPIO0 and GPIO2 have external pull-up resistors so they will be high unless you actively pull them low.
Perhaps you could start by reading this
then tell us more about the hardware you are using - and if anything is connected?
Which pins, and what board are you using exactly? What code is running on it?
