I have a CNC-Mill which is controlled by the software ESTLCAM.
Until now I use it only with mouse-control on the computer-screen but not with the remote control.
The creator of ESTLCAM has published the plans and protocol for the remote-control
you can find the docs here
The remote-control exchanges data over I2C.
The protocol details are published too.
Has anybody made a DIY-Version of the remote-control?
I mean the one with the rotary-encoder and joystick

Estlcam: 2D / 3D CAM und CNC Steuerung... Betriebsart 2 describes just some basic communication. Not enough to do an implementation.

What I2C Address should the slave have?
If the ESTLCAM is Master, does it only pull for the slave inputs? If so, in which interval?
I assume you have worked with I2C before ... how would you solve that without knowing these basics?
