Ethernet Board won't work on corporate network, but works fine at home

I'm just using the DhcpAddressPrinter example that comes with 1.0 of the IDE.

The example works perfectly on my home network, but not at work. Work doesn't filter MAC addresses (I can plug in my personal laptop).

Has anyone had a similar experience?

DHCP can require a "DHCP Client ID". Perhaps your office network does.

I've had a look through the code, but can't find where to to add a client id.

Any ideas?

Probably best to ask your network administrator. If you are reluctant to ask the administrator then that is natures warning sign you are doing something inappropriate.

You could run wireshark on your work PC and have it monitor your network traffic while you make the PC do a dhcp request. You can then see the full contents of the request and the reply. Might offer up some clues.

I've already asked IT and they are not aware of anything I need to worry about.

I'll give wireshark a go and see if I can come up with anything.

Thanks again for your help guys.
