ethernet shield failure

Well i am not clear with what i mean at the subject. I use and ethernet shield with w5100. I have arduino version 1.03 and i load the examples from the ethernet section. I get error that it has problem with DHCP. i do not find anything wrong. I plug another computer at the same rj45 and it gets internet with DHCP automaticaly. But arduino with Dhcp print address have problem. Does anyone have any idea plz?

Please post your code here but read this first http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,97455.0.html especially point 6
What exactly does the error say ?
Are there other errors in the error window at the bottom of the IDE ?

well there are no error on the compiler. I want to make an ntp server and get time and date. I upload the sketch that exist on the Arduino IDE. I do not have a mac address printed on any of the sides of arduino.

This is the code. There are no changes from the official. I get nothing back from serial monitor. Also i see link,rt and tx leds blinking all the time.
ANd arduino ide gives no error.

 Udp NTP Client

Get the time from a Network Time Protocol (NTP) time server
Demonstrates use of UDP sendPacket and ReceivePacket
For more on NTP time servers and the messages needed to communicate with them,
 see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol

Warning: NTP Servers are subject to temporary failure or IP address change.
 Plese check

    http://tf.nist.gov/tf-cgi/servers.cgi

if the time server used in the example didn't work.

When i used the DHCPAddressPrint example i got a message on Serial Monitor that it can not configure IP from DHCP

The Arduino does not have a MAC address, but the Ethernet shield will have.
What shield is it ?

i was talking about the mac address of the ethernet shield.well i found out my mac address from the server administrator and i pasted it on the array mac[] and the sketch is working.thank you very much
