Is there any way to force the W5100 Ethernet shield to link at 10Mbps instead of 100Mbps?
I'm having problems with devices that link at 100Mbps causing RFI with my amateur radio equipment and one of the top suggestions has been switching from 100Mbps to gigabit or 10Mbps. I've upgraded my network switch so my computers and router are all gigabit, reprogrammed my game system and bluray player to 10Mbps, but the Arduino I can't find any way to force the speed to 10M link.
Have you considered using shielded CAT5 cable?
You could use some cat3 four conductor phone wire in a 10BaseT arrangement to connect the arduino to the router. The router should automatically select 10Mbps for the connection.
Sorry , but Cat3 wont change anything
It is the same pinout ,, you will only be more prone to errors on the line due to cross talk and such
Looking at Page 10-11
Seems possible to force speed at 10mps with pins OPMODE2-0 63-64-65
Not that hard to put a soldering blob at these 3 pins to gnd
