It seems I have set off another round of hack attacks with today's posts. A couple of malformed urls, one really long one, one with no blank line (stall attack), but all were brushed off. It is still up, and has uploaded every file that was requested, unless it was a bad request, or a non-existent file.
It takes 12 seconds to upload the soccer pic. It takes 6 seconds for the waterfall background. Nothing else can be uploaded during these uploads. If you are unlucky, when your browser tries to download the soccer image or the waterfall, and all sockets are active, then you will get the broken image symbol.
If I changed those images to smaller ones, it would be very difficult, even at this volume of requests, to DoS the server.
