Salve a tutti ho comprato Arduino Mega SDK e una ethernet shield, ho provato a fare un semplice test di caricamento dei codici di prova presenti nell'editing software... come mai la ethernet shield si riscalda maladettamente se non la connetto ?
Per evitare rotture o altri problemi, ho disconnesso tutto e non ho fatto il test per vedere se la scheda funziona
La ADK ha un USB HOST in piú rispetto alla Mega normale:
USB Host: MAX3421E. The MAX3421E comunicate with Arduino with the SPI bus. So it uses the following pins:
Digital: 7 (RST), 50 (MISO), 51 (MOSI), 52 (SCK).
NB:Please do not use Digital pin 7 as input or output because is used in the comunication with MAX3421E
Non broken out on headers: PJ3 (GP_MAX), PJ6 (INT_MAX), PH7 (SS).

Anche la mia Ethernet Shield si riscalda sia quando è connessa sia quando è disconnessa, saranno caratteristiche del chip..
Dovresti misurare la temperatura del chip. Perché secondo me 50°-55° sono normali.
Poi che shield hai? Con il Wiz5100 o l’ENC28J60?
Se usi quella col wiz5100 è normalissimo che scaldi, la mia si porta sui 60-65° e resta li stabile sia in comunicazione che ferma...
