Ethernet to Serial?

I haven't seen an example, but would it be possible to utilize the Ethernet shield to receive text and then re-send the received chars over a serial line:

possibly....
if (client.available() >0)
{
char inChar = client.read();
Serial.print(inChar);
}

but would it be possible to utilize the Ethernet shield to receive text and then re-send the received chars over a serial line

Yes.

If you wanna more help, you have to provide more information. And read the sticky note at the top of the forum.

Web server test code that prints what is received from a browser to the serial port for debugging.

//zoomkat 4-04-12
//simple client test
//for use with IDE 1.0
//open serial monitor and send an e to test
//for use with W5100 based ethernet shields
