I noticed that there are many rolling robot platforms based on the Arduino but not many walking robots. The walking robots that are out there usually have 18+ servos and are difficult to program. I designed my own simple to build 6 legged walking robot using an Arduino clone. It only needs 3 servos to walk forward, backwards, right and left. You can view my progress here:

My plan is if there is enough interest, I'll make the laser cut parts available. I've already posted the parts list and schematic. You can build Cricket with a regular Uno and an I/O shield. I'm also offering kits if you don't want to hassle finding your own parts.
