When I try to compile this sketch DHTtester.ino , I get these errors:

As can be seen all the DHT libraries are in the /sketchbook/libraries folder.

Is the actual sketch looking for a specific header or word.

// NOTE: If using a board with 3.3V logic like an Arduino Due connect pin 1
// to 3.3V instead of 5V!
// Connect pin 2 of the sensor to whatever your DHTPIN is
// Connect pin 4 (on the right) of the sensor to GROUND
// Connect a 10K resistor from pin 2 (data) to pin 1 (power) of the sensor

Thanks

Looks like you don't have the corresponding library installed. If you enable verbose compiler messages in the preferences you get the path of every used library during a compile run. Check if that path is what you expected.

I'm missing a link to the library you used. There are about half a dozen DHT.h libraries in the wild.

Thanks for the reply and guidance . Checking the path was not what I expected, and I removed the incorrect library files, so as to make surev the sketchbook/library files were used.

I have downloaded a few DHT.h libraries over a period of time , mainly to get a sketch working and uploaded to my arduino.

I don't have any links for the said files now, but the problem is cured, thanks
