expected '}' before '{' token error message (edit): SOLVED! I'm just blind!

Hello all. I'm relatively new to Arduino and am going through a tutorial series, but I have a lot of experience programming in Java for a robotics team. I was provided some example code for a basic 2-button toggle for an LED and I wanted to mess around with it a little. Whether or not my logic is sound, this error message has popped up and I have no idea how to fix it.

Here's the code:

int ledPin = 5; int buttonApin = 9; int buttonBpin = 8;

boolean wasButtonBPressed = false; boolean check = false;

byte leds = 0;

void setup() { pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT); pinMode(buttonApin, INPUT_PULLUP); pinMode(buttonBpin, INPUT_PULLUP); }

void loop() { if (digitalRead(buttonBpin) == LOW) { wasButtonBPressed = true; check = true; } if (digitalRead(buttonBpin == HIGH) { check = false; } if (digitalRead(buttonBpin == LOW && check == true) { wasButtonBPressed = false; }

if (digitalRead(buttonApin) == LOW && wasButtonBPressed == true) { digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH); } if (digitalRead(buttonApin) == LOW && wasButtonBPressed == false) { digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW); } if (digitalRead(buttonApin) == HIGH) { digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW); } }

and here's the error message:

Digital_Inputs:28:1: error: expected ')' before '{' token

{

^

Digital_Inputs:48:1: error: expected primary-expression before '}' token

}

^

exit status 1 expected ')' before '{' token

any help is appreciated!

Missing a closing bracket.

if (digitalRead(buttonBpin == HIGH)oops

Ah, thanks! didn't even see it!

I'm so used to VS code typing it for you.
