Does anyone have any experience with the "li-ion charger" shield from CuteDigi.com?

I'm wondering if these will use/charge the lipo batteries Sparkfun has been selling for some time.
The terminology with li-ion and li-po gets so muddled some times that I'm nervous about getting one and trying it. Oh, that, and I've started 2 fires now with lipo chargers being incorrectly labeled 
Hmm.. Not encouraging that no one has spoken up.
I bought one to experiment with, I'll keep the fire extinguisher handy.
It seems to contain an EUP8054, which is an acknowledged battery charger. And it seems it only charges a single lithium cell. This is generally uncritical even with a single resistor 
Oh yes, it seems to have everything in all the right places (as far as I can tell anyway). I always like to hear from real people using it in a real situation though
