Hello all I am brand new to this board but with many questions. I was introduced to the device about 48 hours ago and been consumed by its potential and stymied by my own ineptitude.
I’m in the process of building a pietenpol Aircamper aircraft and wanted to avoid traditional cable and pulley control systems. The idea of fly by wire has captured my imagination of how to set up my controls, instrumentation engine monitoring and possibly flight instruments and navigation. All using different pieces of equipment.
Has anyone here done that or can anyone offer advice and consulting on how an electronics know nothing can accomplish the task using the ArduinoCode, hardware servos and equipment to accomplish the task?
Please let me know if I’m reaching too far or asking too much and I’ll not bother the forum again.

If you are thinking of using fly-by-wire based on an Arduino for a human-carrying airplane then DON'T.
Even if you had 5 years experience of programming Arduinos I would still say DON'T.
If you are thinking of writing your own fly-by-wire code using any type of microprocessor or computer then DON'T.
Where I live, even experienced experimenters have given up on getting their paperwork through the authorities for such experimental implementations. Even with experience and know-how, and setting aside the fact that the components themselves need to have some level of certification, getting all the right approvals and signatures is a nightmare.
It just seems that the administrative hoops to jump through are too high and too narrow ;), regardless of one's ability.
Then of course, look at how the big guys get it wrong with their big tin falling out of the sky...
