FACEBOOK FOR CHAT WITH ME

WHAT I JUST WANT IS TO CHAT WITH SOMEONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT ARDUINO WHO HAS FACEBOOK.

IM TIRED FOR LOOKING THOSE PEOPLE

What's wrong with chatting here?

And turn off your Caps Lock please, that is like shouting your request.

ok, i just want to chat with people who have facebook and those who also know about arduino,
example: u are the expert about arduino, not me, and u dont have facebook, i do.

I do have facebook, I just choose not to use it for arduino.
Much easier to multiplex my time here vs trying to be on facebook at the same time as someone else.

CrossRoads:
I do have facebook, I just choose not to use it for arduino.

Thats the point Muneeb, this is the forum for Arduino, so whats wrong in Chatting here??
Share/Express/Learn/Teach/Explore and Discover: HERE

u dont get it,
facebook is the place i usually go,
and what do i want is to chat with people on facebook and discuss about arduino.
not on forum

To be blunt about it, why should we pander to your needs?

There's a massive community here, take some of your time and make the most of it. Don't be lazy and expect it to come to you.

Members of the Arduino Cult are not allowed to use facebook :stuck_out_tongue:

(Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Correction "Members of the Arduino Cult are not allowed to use the thing, which we do not talk about"...

I've got an FB account but frankly I'd rather chew my own arm off than use it on a regular basis.

In my case it's strictly to find people I've lost touch with over the years (and it's been good for that).

Rob

ok,ok
but if u do go to facebook
u better add me
Muneeb Rehman

not forcing u to add me, just if u want me

bld:
Correction "Members of the Arduino Cult are not allowed to use the thing, which we do not talk about"...

No doubt that Thing was invented by He Who Must Not Be Named... XD

like vol de mort is that thing

Btw, when CrossRoads asked you to turn off the caps lock, he probably didn't mean that you shouldn't use the shift key. It is a lot easier to read your posts if you start sentences with capital letters and end them with periods.

nah
end them with full stops!

dont care of capital letters

Well, I end up using FB quite a bit for my photography.. I do a lot of local event photography, small band venues, and group event things that it makes sense to use a social media outlet for.

Facebook isn't necessarily a bad thing.. it can be very useful and not a timewaster at all if you choose to use it that way. It's not a very good thing for technical discussions and that sort of thing, for all the reasons that have been listed- but for "social media", it's great. In terms of Arduino, it might at best make sense in terms of community building, but it's just not the right venue to share circuits or hunt out technical questions.

It's also great for folks that end up socially isolated for one reason or another.. I come from a tiny town in Wisconsin, and rarely visit. Facebook is good for keeping in contact with all fourteen (okay, okay, just over a thousand) people in town from two thousand miles away. Trust me, that's just about a comfortable distance...

I won't necessarily rule out Facebook as a tool in the Arduino arsenal, but I think it's far better suited for social interaction rather than technical. Given that Arduino is somewhat a specialized hobby, it might not hurt. Though I have it listed as an interest.. I have to admit I never have even visited the Arduino page on facebook...

Though you will probably regret it, feel free to hit me up.. you can find me by username.. yep, focalist.. if anyone else feels particularly self-abusive, I'm always happy to spam thousands of people with my mundane bitching of the day....

ok,
so ill just use facebook for social networking
