...and what happened? 1.6.7 is very outdated. The latest Arduino IDE is 1.8.5. If you still have the error using 1.8.5 then post the full error output from that IDE version.
Also, note that the error is about MSpanList_Insert, not MSpan_List as you said in your title. It's very important to get that right. I remembered the issue about this in the bug tracker but couldn't find it because you gave me the wrong keyword to search for. Here are the issue reports for this:
It seems that everyone was able to solve the problem by upgrading to the latest IDE version. The exception is there is an outstanding issue with arduinoOTA but I don't think you're using that so that shouldn't be the problem for you. Note that you also need to make sure you're running the latest version of Arduino AVR Boards, which you can check via Tools > Board > Boards Manager.
