Failed uploading exit status 1

Hello,
I have two Nano V3.0 Atymega3238P/chc40, Arduinos. Each with their own cable the cables both work the Nanos come up on my port lists but when I try to lad blink i get

Even if it doesn't seem like it, this is actually good progress!

The upload is now failing with a new error:

This tells us that you have fixed the driver problem that caused the upload to previously fail with the "avrdude: ser_open(): can't set com-state for "\.\COM3"" error.

So now we must find the fix for the unrelated problem that is causing this new error.

A program called a "bootloader" is stored in a special area of memory in the Nano board's microcontroller. The classic Nano (as well as its 3rd party derivatives) have been manufactured with two different types of bootloader installed.

You must configure the Tools > Processor menu in Arduino IDE according to which bootloader is installed on your Nano. Having the incorrect configuration selected in this menu is one of the potential causes of uploads failing with the "avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding" error.

I can see from the verbose upload output that you have Arduino IDE incorrectly configured for use with the Nano boards that have the modern bootloader.

Select Tools > Processor > ATmega328P from the Arduino IDE menus to configure it for use with the modern bootloader and then try uploading again.

Hopefully this time the upload will finish successfully.

`This is on AMega328P

Sorry, I should have written "Select Tools > Processor > ATmega328P (Old Bootloader) from the Arduino IDE menus." in my previous reply.

Please make that menu selection and then try uploading again.
