fastLED Library with ESP8266 Huzzah

Hi. Wondering if anyone here has had success using the fastLED library with Adafruit’s ESP8266 Huzzah:
http://fastled.io/

I currently have the Hardware SPI pins on the Huzzah connected to 2 concatenated DotStar strips totaling 120 LEDs.

The setup works fine with Adafruit’s DotStar library, now I want to try it with fastLED. Again, using Hardware SPI.

The sketch is fastLED’s FirstLight example with all the comments and commented-out statements removed:

#include "FastLED.h"

#define NUM_LEDS 120

CRGB leds[NUM_LEDS];

void setup() {
  delay(2000);
  FastLED.addLeds<DOTSTAR, RGB>(leds, NUM_LEDS);  // <-- This line is one of the choices in the original FirstLight example. It should specify use of Hardware SPI
}

void loop() {
  for (int whiteLed = 0; whiteLed < NUM_LEDS; whiteLed = whiteLed + 1) {
    leds[whiteLed] = CRGB::White;
    FastLED.show();
    delay(100);
    leds[whiteLed] = CRGB::Black;
  }
}

The list of compiler errors is so massive that it pushes this post over the 9000 character limit. So, it’s attached.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks.
