Using Arduino Project Guidance

Hi everyone. I have a battery-powered pro mini running a strip of 10 RGB leds. I loaded Pacifica example from the FastLED library. But since it's battery powered, and it's only for decoration purposes, I want it to "play" only for 2 or 3 minutes every half an hour, or an hour. The rest of the time, I want it to be off (at least the leds).
Can you help me out modifying the example accordingly? I can't figure it out.

Look at the BlinkWithoutDelay example in the IDE.

Change the periods and run the animation instead of turning an LED on and off
